Who We Are
Vineyard Cleveland is part of the Association of Vineyard Churches, USA, a growing community of churches 650 strong in the U.S. The global movement also includes another 600+ churches internationally. You can check out the Vineyard movement at www.vineyardusa.org.
In the spring of 1996, Vineyard Cleveland opened its doors for the first time. It began in a home as a small group of people gathered to worship Jesus in freedom. Three locations and nearly twenty years later, we are a growing community of people who love to hang out together, worship God, and encourage one another. Cleveland is a diverse city, and our community reflects that. We are home to young and old, internationals, different socioeconomic backgrounds, and different ethnicities, so anyone can feel at home here!
What are we all about here at the Vineyard? Our goal is to love Jesus passionately, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit in order to set the captives free and bring life to the city. We have focused on the gospel of the Kingdom of God, just as we see Jesus proclaiming and demonstrating the in-breaking of God’s Kingdom in the gospels.
We are a church who believes it is possible to make a difference. Through our ordinary everyday lives, we carry hope and collectively pursue God’s heart for the city of Cleveland. As we do, we believe we will see lives transformed, both our own and all around us. We want the Vineyard to be a safe place where people can experience God and say yes to Him, but even more than that we want to see Jesus bring life to every area of our city.
